About Dr. Pulver
 My name is Dr. Lance C. Pulver. I am the author and creator of the website Centralfloridaanxiety.com. I was born in Miami, Florida in 1953 and have lived in South Florida for most of my life. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida (majoring in psychology) in 1974. I later attended Mississippi State University, which offered an excellent Master’s program in Clinical Psychology.
I received my Masters degree from MSU in 1979. In 1987 I earned my Ph.D. degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Miami. My dissertation, completed in the same year, was written on the subject of test anxiety.
I completed a one year internship at the Georgia State University Counseling Center in Atlanta, Georgia. My Post Doctoral Residency was completed at the office of David Bortnick, Ph.D., located in West Palm Beach, Florida. At this time I live and work in Winter Park, Florida.
Currently, I am engaged in the following professional activities:

Textbook on Anxiety – I am writing a book on anxiety for the lay person. The book is based on extensive reading, years of clinical experience and my own insights and ideas about this topic. I anticipate it will be ready for publication in the very near future.
